UnboundLiving Community Guidelines

Last Updated: February 1,2026

Our Community Commitment

UnboundLiving exists to support people with limited mobility and other physical limitations in cultivating physical comfort, mental resilience, joy, and connection. These guidelines are here to protect that purpose and ensure every member feels safe, respected, and valued.

By participating in UnboundLiving, you agree to engage in ways that uphold dignity, accessibility, and collective care.

Core Values

Our community is guided by the following principles:

  • Dignity First – Every person’s lived experience is valid.
  • Accessibility Matters – We respect different communication needs, energy levels, and abilities.
  • Choice & Autonomy – Participation is always optional; listening is participation.
  • Growth Over Judgment – We support learning, reflection, and repair.
  • Community Care – We look out for one another.

Expected Member Behavior

We ask all members to:

  • Speak from personal experience (use “I” statements)
  • Respect different bodies, identities, diagnoses, and perspectives
  • Honor boundaries around advice, touch, and personal questions
  • Use content warnings when discussing sensitive topics (e.g., trauma, pain, grief)
  • Keep shared stories and personal information confidential
  • Participate at a pace that supports your wellbeing

Silence, rest, and observation are always welcome forms of participation.

Health & Wellness Boundaries

UnboundLiving offers educational and experiential content, not medical advice.

Please remember:

  • Members should consult qualified healthcare providers before making medical or physical changes
  • No one may diagnose, prescribe, or pressure others into practices
  • What works for one body may not work for another

We encourage curiosity, not comparison.

Prohibited Behavior

To protect the community, the following are not allowed:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech of any kind
  • Shaming, invalidating, or dismissing others’ lived experiences
  • Pressuring members to disclose personal or medical information
  • Unsolicited medical advice or claims of cures
  • Promotion of harmful, illegal, or exploitative practices
  • Spam, sales pitches, or recruitment without permission
  • Sharing private conversations or content outside the platform

Safety & Support

UnboundLiving is a peer-support and learning environment.

  • We are not equipped to provide crisis intervention
  • If you are experiencing an emergency or are at risk of harm, please contact local emergency services or a trusted support resource

If you see behavior that concerns you, please report it using the platform tools or by contacting the UnboundLiving team.

Moderation & Accountability

Our moderators are here to support safety and alignment, not control.

Actions may include:

  • Gentle reminders or clarification
  • Content removal
  • Temporary pauses in participation
  • Account suspension or removal for repeated or serious violations

When possible, we prioritize education and repair over punishment.

Your Role in the Community

You help shape UnboundLiving.

We invite you to:

  • Model kindness and patience
  • Ask for what you need
  • Respect when others say no
  • Share feedback to help us improve

Together, we create a space rooted in Adaptive Joy and Collective Strength.
