  • Aggressive Replacement Therapy:When deficiency or insufficiency is found, doctors typically prescribe replacement therapy followed by a maintenance dose, such as 1500 IU daily.
  • Synergy with Calcium:To maintain bone mass, Vitamin D is often paired with increased calcium intake, though research suggests it is best to obtain calcium from food sources (like spinach, kale, and salmon) rather than supplements to ensure more gradual absorption.
